Endeavor Books started out as Aviation Maintenance Publishing (AMP). AMP was created in the 1970’s by Jim and Dick Kost in Basin Wyoming, specializing in aircraft maintenance books. In the 1980’s AMP was sold to Jerry and Jim Williams who renamed the company International Aviation Publishing (IAP) and relocated the company to Riverton, Wyoming. The Williams brothers continued to build on the publishing business, adding a sprint car magazine.
The Hawks Industries purchased and moved the company to Casper, Wyoming adding self publishing and short-run books to their repertoire.
Bruce Studer and Dan Hashberger took over in 1995 and Endeavor Books was created. Dan and Bruce joined forces with longtime printers and publishers Mountain States Lithographing in 2001 Where many of the original Aviation books are still published and updated and many new books are printed each year.
